Gabe used to work as a janitor at a prestigious university where he would occasionally go around and solve other people’s math problems that only a few people in the world could solve.  Then he would deny doing it.  Eventually he spent some time with a psychiatrist who helped him sort through his problems and he was offered some very well paying jobs in the mathematical field but he turned them all down and told his shrink “I gotta go see about a girl.”  We don’t know what happened with that but he ended up on the Park squad where he has been a fairly mediocre pitcher ever since.
